Will It Rain In Delhi On Wednesday? Here Is What The IMD Has Forecast

Delhi Weather Update: The minimum and maximum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday will likely settle at 21 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has predicted cloudy skies and more rainfall in Delhi on Wednesday. Delhi, which has recorded 121.7 mm of rainfall in October so far, the second highest in the month in 16 years, will likely see light rain and drizzle on Wednesday, PTI reported.

According to the IMD forecast, the minimum and maximum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday will likely settle at 21 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.

After incessant rains for three days brought the mercury down in Delhi on Monday, mercury rose in the national capital on Tuesday, with the maximum temperature settling at 28.9 degrees Celsius, four notches below the normal. The city recorded a relative humidity of 86 per cent.

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday settled at 20.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal.

On Tuesday, Delhi saw bright sunshine on the later half of the day. From 8.30 am on Monday to 8.30 am on Tuesday, the city received 6.1 mm of rainfall.

Delhi recorded 25.3 mm rainfall on Saturday, 74.3 mm on Sunday and 21.8 mm on Monday. The rainfall recorded so far this month in Delhi is around four times the normal rainfall of 28 mm and three times the precipitation (41.6 mm) recorded in August, which is the wettest month of monsoon, PTI reported.

The national capital received a record 122.5 mm of rainfall in October last year. The city did not receive any rain in October 2020, 2018 and 2017 and logged 47.3 mm of rainfall in October 2019, PTI reported.

The air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded in 'satisfactory' (71) category, data from CPCB showed. In fact, Delhi on Monday breathed the cleanest air since August 31, 2020.
