According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the national capital was 18.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while the maximum temperature was around 32 degrees Celsius.
"Rain and thundershowers are expected in Delhi/NCR late this evening and tonight." The wet spell will resume tomorrow after a brief break in the forenoon/afternoon. "The remnant showers, albeit light, may even continue on Saturday morning and then cease," said SkyMet.
According to the Met Department, Delhi received 34mm of rain in March, exceeding the city's monthly average of 19.1mm. "It is likely to increase this margin further," the weather service predicted.

"Temperatures across India are normal, and there is no chance of a heatwave right now," IMD scientist Dr Naresh was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.
