Delhi Govt Extends Lockdown Till May 31: Here's List Of What's Allowed, What's Not
The national capital has so far recorded 10,054 corona cases. As many as 4485 patients have recovered from the disease while 160 died.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced his lockdown 4.0 plan under which he lifted up several restrictions in order to run economic activities that were hit during nationwide lockdown enforced due to novel Coronavirus.
The development has come a day after Union Home Ministry announced extension of nationwide lockdown and released several modifications in rules. Under the new set of guidelines effective across India from May 18, MHA mentioned "widespread relaxations given in the restrictions".
Authorities even allowed state/union territory governments to decide on their on over the delineation of red, green, and orange zones after taking into consideration the parameters shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Here's the list of activities that are not allowed under new guidelines:
- Delhi Metro will remain suspended
- All Educational institutes will remain shut
- Hotels, Malls, Cinema theaters, gym, swimming pool, bar, auditorium, assembly halls to remain shut
- All social, religious, large congregations are shut
- Movement of Individuals prohibited between 7PM to 7 AM
- Persons above 65 years of age, pregnant women or children below 10 years of age suggested to stay at home
- Salons, Barbers not allowed
- Car pooling, car sharing not allowed
- Restaurants shall be open only for home delivery
- Sports complex, stadiums to open sans spectators
- In containment zones only essential activities to be allowed
- Autos, E-rikshaw, cycle rikshaw allowed with 1 passenger
- Cabs, taxi, phat phat seva, with only 2 passengers
- Buses can't accommodate more than 20 passengers at a time. Every passenger to be mandatorily screened before getting onto bus
- RTV bus only 11 passengers allowed
- Four passengers in one pvt vehicle
- 100% strength allowed in government and private sectors
- Shops in all the markets to follow odd-even rule
- Standalone shops, shops in residential areas allowed to operate
- Delhi regular construction workers allowed but outsourcing of labour fro states not allowed
- 20 people allowed in funeral
- 50 people allowed in marriage functions
- Except for essential services, no activities allowed in in containment zones
- Compulsory to follow social distancing and wear mask when outside home
