On Lok Sabha Results Day, Delhi Airport Gets Another Bomb Threat

A bomb threat was received via email at DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited) office, IGI Airport on Tuesday night.

Delhi International Airport Limited office, IGI Airport received an email on Tuesday with the threat of a bomb inside an Air Canada flight which was scheduled to depart to Toronto, said the Delhi Police.

A thorough inspection was carried out following standard security protocols and nothing was found suspicious, they said, as per an ANI report.  

In a statement, the Delhi Police said: "On 4th June at 10.50 PM, an email was received in DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited) office, IGI Airport with the threat of a bomb inside Air Canada flight which was scheduled to depart to Toronto. Following standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was conducted and nothing suspicious was found. Legal action is under process." 

Incidentally, the development happened on the day when the counting of votes and resutls for the Lok Sabha elections took place.
