Delhi BJP MLAs To Meet President Murmu Today Demanding AAP Govt’s Dismissal
In a statement last week, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that the AAP had used abusive language against Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena.
New Delhi: MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi will meet President Droupadi Murmu today where they will demand dismissal of the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government over a host of issues including allegations of corruption against its ministers, reported news agency PTI. The legislators will also submit a memorandum to Murmu.
In a statement last week, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that the AAP had used abusive language against Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena.
"Along with the use of abusive language against the LG, the files sent to him are not even signed by the chief minister. Cabinet notes are sent to him after the cabinet meeting. In view of all these illegal activities, this government should be immediately dismissed," he demanded.
The BJP has been demanding the sacking of Delhi government ministers Satyendar Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia over charges of corruption. The AAP has claimed that the saffron party made attempts to "poach" its MLAs but their attempts were foiled since theirs is a ''hardcore honest'' party while the BJP called for a probe into the allegations.

The BJP and the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP have been embroiled in a tussle lately after the former levelled allegations of corruption while the latter claims BJP of “poaching” MLAs. the BJP targeted the AAP over alleged irregularities in implementation of excise policies in Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation had raided the house and several other locations associated with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
After some AAP MLAs claimed that the BJP offered them money to switch sides “or they will face consequences as Sisodia”, the Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal called a special session of the Assembly and moved a trust motion which he won.
