Country comes first, artists after that, says Reliance group chairman Mukesh Ambani

New Delhi: The chairman of Reliance group and business tycoon Mukesh Ambani said that the country comes first, artists after that. He made this statement at an event in front of jam-packed audience, on Monday. It is pertinent to mention here that after Uri attack on September 18 there has been a continuous protest against Pakistani artist working in India. The protest is getting support from many sections of the society including politicians and Bollywood too. "I'm absolutely clear about one thing. For me, it is always nation first. I'm not an intellectual, so I don't understand all these. But undoubtedly like for all Indians, India is the first for me," said Mr Ambani in Mumbai on Monday. Recently, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray issued an ultimatum for Pakistani artists to leave Indian. When Salman Khan came in defence of the artists and said that they are artists and government has issued them the visa, Raj Thackery dared to ban the movies of even Bajrangi Bhaijaan. On Monday. MNS also threatened to intensify its opposition to director Karan Johar's soon-to-be-released film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil". It features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
