Kerala Coronavirus Case: Increase in new cases of corona in Kerala continues. According to the data released by the Health Department at around 6 pm on Thursday, in the last 24 hours, 22064 new cases have been reported and 128 patients have died. At present, 1,54,820 patients are being treated in the state and 16,585 have died.
22,056 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kerala on Wednesday and 131 patients died. At the same time, 11,586 new cases were confirmed in the state on Monday and 22,129 on Tuesday.
Kerala is one of the states in the country where the maximum number of new cases are coming at this time. In view of this, the Union Health Ministry has decided to send the team to the state.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “Central Government is sending a six-member team headed by NCDC Director to Kerala. The team will support the state's ongoing efforts in Covid management as the number of Covid cases in Kerala is still high.
The ministry statement said that the team will work closely with state health officials, inspect the ground situation and recommend necessary public health interventions to contain the spread of the virus.
At the same time, to prevent the spread of corona infection, the state government has decided to impose a complete lockdown on 31 July and 1 August.
