Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on Chief Ministers of all the states on Monday ahead of the coronavirus vaccine rollout. It is being reported that he will e-meet the state heads on January 11 at 4pm. Meeting of all the CMs with PM Modi holds significance as Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today informed that the coronavirus vaccine could be made available as early as in "next few days". India successfully conducted second dry run on Friday, January 8, in all the states and UTs. The objective of the second dry run was to ensure that the actual vaccine drive takes place smoothly. In the first phase, the government will inoculate 300 million people which will include healthcare professionals, frontline workers, elderly people and those with comorbidities. India approved the emergency use of two coronavirus vaccine last week. Serum Institute of India (SII) collaborated Oxford-AstraZeneca's vaccine "Covishield" was given the approval first by DGCI followed by indigenous vaccine "Covaxin" produced by Bharat BioTech.
