India Records Over 25K Cases For 2nd Consecutive Day, Positivity Rate Stands At 1.54%
India has reported around 25k new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours which is marginally higher than yesterday.
Corona cases update: India has reported 25,467 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. The country's active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.98%; lowest since March 2020, The active caseload stands at 3,19,551; the lowest in 156 days.
A total of 39,486 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours and the country witnessed 354 deaths in a single day, as per Health Ministry.
India's daily positivity rate stands at 1.54 % and is less than 3% for last 29 days.

Maharashtra
As many as 27 cases of the Delta Plus variant of coronavirus were detected in Maharashtra on Monday, said the state health department. With this, the total number of people infected with the mutant strain has reached 10.
Further, as per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, 128 out of the 188 samples collected from Covid patients at Mumbai's Kasturba hospital were found to be positive for the Delta variant.
This comes even as the state clocked in 3,643 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours -- lowest since 15 February. A total of 105 more people succumbed to the disease while 6,795 patients recovered, a health department official said.
