New Delhi: Rebuking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s snipe at Congress over the emergency order by former PM Indira Gandhi; senior Congress leader Randeep Surjewala on Tuesday said, “PM Modi today taught a lesson on 43-year-old Emergency order; but, didn’t mention the 49-month-long unannounced emergency state in the country”. Taking on PM, Surjewala said “PM forgot that Aurangzeb had held his farther hostage, but today’s Aurangzeb PM Modi has held the entire democracy hostage. This came after PM Modi spoke on ‘Dark Days of Emergency’ at Birla Matushri Auditorium. Speaking on the same PM said, “Emergency’ was a classic example of how the ‘Constitution of India’ could be abused for the wishes of one family”.
