The planned shutdowns will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both days. Officials stated that the monthly maintenance includes line repairs, transformer checks, and tree trimming around overhead lines to prevent disruptions during monsoon winds and rains.

Power Shutdown Advise To Residents

At the time of power shutdown, residents have been advised to store adequate water in advance, complete essential electrical chores before the shutdown, charge mobile phones and backup power devices.

Keeping a few power banks handy can ensure communication isn’t disrupted.  Stocking up on drinking water in bottles or insulated containers is crucial, especially during hot days.

The monthly preventive maintenance is aimed at reducing the risk of unplanned outages and ensuring smoother service during peak usage periods. Power supply will be restored earlier if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule.

Most importantly, check updates from the local electricity board for real-time information.
