Coimbatore Power Cut On September 23-24, 2025: Various Parts Of City To Face 7-Hour Outage

Coimbatore will experience planned power outages on September 23-24, 2025, from 9 AM to 4 PM in RS Puram, Chinnathadagam, Negamam, Mylampatty, Anna University zones and Kuniamuthur.

Coimbatore Power Cut On September 23-24, 2025: Coimbatore residents are advised to brace for planned power shutdowns across several parts of the city on September 23 and 24, 2025. The temporary electricity suspension has been scheduled to facilitate essential maintenance and safety works across multiple substations, ensuring reliable power supply in the long term.

On September 23, areas under RS Puram, Chinnathadagam, and Negamam will experience a power cut from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On September 24, the shutdown will move to Mylampatty, Anna University zones, and Kuniamuthur, also between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

September 23 (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

  • RS Puram: Arokiyasamy Road, Ramachandra Road, D.B. Road, Lawley Road, Thadagam Road, Gowlybrown Road, T.V. Samy Road, Sukkirawari Pet, Gandhi Park, Gopal Layout, Samiiyar New Street, Ediyar Street, Raja Street.
  • Chinnathadagam: Aanakatti, Nanchundapuram, Pannimadai (some areas), Periyathadagam, Papanaickenpalayam. (Tree cutting and routine maintenance)
  • Negamam: Kattampatty, R.C. Puram, J. Krishnapuram, Negamam, Vadachithur.

September 24 (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

  • Mylampatty: Karayampalayam, Chinniyampalayam, R.G. Pudur, Kaikolampalayam, Venkittapuram.
  • Anna University Areas: Yamuna Nagar, Kalappanaickenpalayam, GCT Nagar, Kanuvai, KNG Pudur, Thadagam Road, Somayampalayam, Agarwal Road, Cheran Industries part, KNG Pudur, Vidhya Co. (Tree cutting & routine maintenance)
  • Kuniamuthur: Kuniamuthur, parts of Sundrapuram, Kovaipudur, Puttuvikki.

What To Do During Power Shutdown

Residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly, ensure essential appliances are charged beforehand, and avoid operating sensitive electrical equipment during the shutdown. The authorities have assured that power will be restored immediately if maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule.
