New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per kilogram. With the new price that will come into effect from today, April 4, CNG will now cost Rs 64.11 per Kg in the national capital, reported ANI.
This comes amid a continuous hike in the prices of petrol and diesel. In another rise in the cost of fuel, petrol and diesel rates have gone up by 40 paise each on Monday. This is the 12th hike in the last 14 days.

The total increase in fuel rates in two weeks is now Rs 8.40 per litre. In the national capital, petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 103.81 per litre and Rs 95.07 per litre respectively today. While in Mumbai, petrol costs Rs 118.83 (increased by 84 paise) per litre and diesel Rs 103.07 (increased by 43 paise) per litre.
The Oppposition has been targeting the government over constantly increasing fuel prices by staging protests and demanding a cut in fuel prices.
Member of Rajya Sabha from Kerala and member of CPI, Binoy Viswam gave a Suspension of Business notice in Rajya Sabha, on Monday, under Rule 267 over "the increase in prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, and kerosene."
Meanwhile, Congress party is also holding nationwide protests under 'Mehengai Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' campaign where it is organising rallies and marches across the coutnry from March 31 to April 7 against rising fuel prices.
There had been a halt on increase in the prices of fuel since November 4 last year, but prices again started to surge on March 22 this year as crude oil prices rose following Russia's invasion in Ukraine.
