Chennai Power Shutdown on May 17: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has announced a planned power shutdown in several areas of Chennai on Saturday, May 17, 2025, to carry out essential maintenance work.

According to TANGEDCO, the power supply will be suspended from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the affected zones. However, officials have assured that electricity will be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
