Mumbai: In a shocking incident, former cricketer Vinod Kambli allegedly punched singer Ankit Tiwari’s father on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place at Inorbit Mall in Malad, when former cricketer Kambli and his wife Andrea got into an argument with music composer Ankur Tiwari and his 59-year-old father. On the other hand, the couple claims that Tiwari’s father first brushed up his hand against Andrea. "He touched my wife inappropriately taking advantage of the crowd" Kambli claims.

Mumbai: Singer Ankit Tiwari's father RK Tiwari filed a police complaint at Bangur Nagar Police Station yesterday alleging he was punched by the wife of cricketer Vinod Kambli in a mall.

Speaking on the incident and a former case against Ankit Tiwari, Kambli's wife said, "The family has a history of assaulting women." Giving his clarification on the incident, Ankur Tiwari said "It’s quite shocking to see this kind of behaviour from a cricketer whose represented our nation , my father being aged has been assaulted by Vinod kamblis wife and when we went to intervene Kambli pushed us around. Not on any cost are we going to sit tight or take this lightly , this behaviour can not be tolerated , it’s happen to us and we hope doesn’t happen to anyone else . We have filed a complaint and we have full faith in the judiciary to take action against this". The former cricketer tweeted about the incident post which police contacted them. A case has been registered against Kambli’s wife and the police are investigating the case. More details on the same are awaited.
