'Can't Even Get Up From Bed': Shraddha's WhatsApp Texts To Ex-Manager Reveal Assault By Aftab

WhatsApp chats reveal that Aftab used to beat Shraddha when they were in Maharashtra

New Delhi: With each passing day, fresh details are emerging in the Shraddha Walkar murder case. Now, ABP News has accessed the WhatsApp chat of the victim that reveals she was subjected to domestic violence while the couple was in Vasai, Maharashtra. 

Shraddha’s Chat With Her Team Leader- November 24, 2020 

Shraddha talks about being unwell in this chat, dated 24th November 2020. “I won’t be able to work today. I have severe body ache and my BP is low because of yesterday’s beating. I have no energy left and I can't even get up from bed,” Shraddha wrote to her manager. 

She even mentioned in the chat that she needed to ensure that Aftab leaves the house that day. She also shared her photograph in the chat which shows injuries on her face.  

Her team leader asks Shraddha for the name of her husband which means she had told in her office that she was married. He later says, "Don’t worry. We are all with you." The details of the chat match the doctor’s report from when Shraddha was admitted to hospital. 

Shraddha Admitted To Hospital- December 3, 2020 

She was taken to hospital a week after the chat and was admitted in a private hospital in Vasai from December 3 to 6. The doctor’s report revealed that Shraddha had internal injuries, she was suffering from severe back and neck pain and had numbness in lower back. The doctors informed that she never came for the follow-up. 

Aftab Was Continuously Beating Shraddha  

Shraddha’s friends Rahul Rai told that Aftab had tried to beat her up two-three times. “There was a blue mark on her neck as if he had tried to choke her to death. Police convinced her to go home but she was really frightened,” Rahul said. 

Her friends have now told police that she was regularly subjected to domestic violence by Aftab. 

Earlier, her friend Laxman Nadar has said that Shraddha had once messaged him to help her else Aftab will kill her. Nadar said that he, with some friends, rescued Shraddha and had warned Aftab too but due to Shraddha’s commitment, they did not inform the police. 

Later, Shraddha stopped replying to Nadar’s messages after which he approached her brother and then her father was informed. This is when Mumbai police were informed the gory details of the case finally came out.
