Blue Origin Space Mission: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is ready to go on a journey to space with his crew on July 20. India's daughter Sanjal Gavande is also a significant part of the team that made the rocket which has been built to take Bezos to space. 30-year-old Sanjal belongs to the Kolsewadi area in Kalyan, Maharashtra.
Sanjal's father is retired from Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation. While her mother has retired from MTNL. Sanjal's mother told that her daughter was interested in the world of space since childhood.
Completed Mechanical Engineering degree from Mumbai University
After this, she started working in the Mercury Marine Company located in Phone du Lac, Wisconsin where she worked for two years. After this Sanjal joined Toyota Racing Development based in California. In the meantime, Sanjal also started taking flying lessons and in June 2016, got her aircraft pilot license.
Could not get admission to NASA
After that Sanjal Gavande applied for admission to NASA. However, due to some technical reasons regarding citizenship, her application could not be approved. After this, she applied for a job in Blue Origin. Here she was selected for the post of System Engineer and now she is part of the team, fulfilling this dream of Jeff Bezos and his company.
