IED Blast In Delhi Near Israel Embassy; No Injury Reported

Blast Reported Near Delhi's Abdul Kalam Road: As per reports, IED was hidden under pavement. Several cars were damaged but no injured have been reported. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued at airports and important government buildings in the view of blast.

A blast has been reported near Delhi's Abdul Kalam road on Friday evening. It is being reported that it was an IED based blast which occurred outside Jindal House, few metres away from Israel Embassy. While there are no reports of an injury as of yet, windscreens of several cars have reportedly been shattered. 

Fire department officials moved to spot and intelligence officials are also inspecting the blast site. It is being informed that it was a call for a fire incident first and as the fire department was inspecting a blast took off.

Sources inform ABP Live, that the forensic teams are mentioning a "black powder" being used for the blast.  A special team of Delhi Police has been involved in the investigation.

Earlier, in the month of December last year, intelligence agencies had issued an alert for the attack on Israeli citizens living in India.

All airports, important establishments, government buildings have been put on high alert. Security has been stepped up in all these places. In Mumbai, an alert has been issued after the attack.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has received information from Delhi Police Commissioner about the blast, along with this, the Home Minister has also talked to Intelligence officials.

Delhi Police is collecting all the CCTV footage in the vicinity. Many clues have been found related to this by the police. However, no wire or timer has been found, only ball bearings have been procured by the investifating agencies so far.

The Indian Ambassador in Israel has assured the Government of Israel that the Government of India is taking all necessary actions following the blast near Delhi's Israeli embassy. Ambassador of India Sanjeev Singla called Israel Foreign Ministry Director General Alan Ushapiz, saying, "The Indian government will do everything to protect Israel's ambassador and officials in India."
