BJP's hard-hitting attack on Congress, says LeT supports Azad's statement

New Delhi: Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in a press conference on Friday launched a scathing attack on Congress over the controversial remark of Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. He attacked Congress by saying that in a bid to oppose PM Modi and BJP, Congress leaders can go to any extent, they can even demoralise our army. He said: “Crossing all lines for vote, Congress can now be seen standing with those who want to break the country. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that army is responsible for killing civilian. Such a statement is shameful and irresponsible coming from a leader who has once headed the state.” He further added: “Army and the police stake their lives for the sake of the country. From a person who has remained the CM of the sate such a statement is very disappointing.” “Congress chief supports those raising anti-national slogans, they question our surgical strike- the party is clearly standing with those intending to break the nation. The spokesperson of LeT has supported the statement of Azad” asserted Prasad. BJP's hard-hitting attack on Congress, says LeT supports Azad's statement “Those sitting in Pakistan will be delighted on reading the statement of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Another Congress leader Saifuddin Soz has talked of liberating Kashmir. Congress cannot shrug off its accountability from his statement supporting the separatists.” He claimed that ever since BJP government has come to power, there has been an increase in the number of killed terrorists. He also criticised Azad’s remark on defence minister’s visit to martyr Aurangzeb’s house. He said: “visiting house of martyr Aurangzeb was termed as ‘drama’ by him. If Congress continues treading on these lines, it will fall to 14 seats in Lok Sabha from the present 44. He sought answer of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi on Azad’s statement.
