Delhi BJP Candidate Sparks Controversy As He Promises To Make Roads ‘As Smooth As Priyanka Gandhi’s Cheeks'

Delhi Election 2025: Congress has strongly objected to this, with Congress leader Pawan Khera stating, "This rudeness not only reflects the mentality of this despicable man but also reveals the reality of his masters."

Delhi Election 2025: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA candidate Ramesh Bidhuri sparked a controversy after he said that he would make the roads in Kalkaji as smooth as Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks if he wins a seat.

In a video, Ramesh Bidhuri is heard saying, "Lalu had said that he will make the roads of Bihar like Hema Malini's cheeks, but he could not do it. Lalu lied. But I assure you that just like the roads of Okhla, Sangam Vihar have been made, the Kalkaji Sudhar Camp will be made like Priyanka Gandhi's cheeks."

Congress has strongly objected to this, with Congress leader Pawan Khera stating, "This rudeness not only reflects the mentality of this despicable man but also reveals the reality of his masters."

Similarly, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate criticised the BJP and deemed it as an ‘anti-women party’, Shrinate said that Ramesh Bidhuri's remarks about Priyanka Gandhi are not only shameful but also reflect his disgusting mentality towards women. She added, “But what else can be expected from a man who has abused his fellow MP in the House and has not received any punishment?”

Shrinate further said, "This is the real face of the BJP. Will the women leaders of the BJP, the Women Development Minister, Nadda, or the Prime Minister say anything regarding this language and such thinking? In fact, the origin of this anti-women rhetoric is PM Modi, who uses terms like 'Mangalsutra' and 'Mujra'—so what else can be expected of people who work with him? Biduhri as well as BJP should apologise for this disgraceful comment."
