BJP Mocks Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' With 'Khatam, Tata, Bye-Bye' Parody Video, Congress Hits Back
The animated troll video, posted on the official handle of BJP on Twitter, has attacked the Congress over several issues.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday shared a parody video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to take a dig at his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and captioned it with his “khatam, tata, bye-bye” remark which has become a popular meme ever since.
The animated troll video, posted on the official handle of BJP on Twitter, has attacked the Congress over MLAs quitting in Goa, leaders resigning and joining Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu and Kashmir and infighting in Rajasthan among other things.
The two-minute-long parody video, that has now gone viral on the social media, also features Sonia Gandhi in the end, who embraces his son while he asks, “Mom, why do not bad times end? Khatam.. Tata.. goodbye.”

Meanwhile, the Congress sharply reacted to the video and said calling it “pathetic” would be an understatement.
Responding to the move, Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said, "BJP’s latest formula to counter the success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Frustration + Desperation = Animation. To call the video they have put out pathetic is an understatement!"
Calling the entire saffron party a ‘cheap troll’ and the video shared by them 'Chavanni Chap', Congress leader Supriya Shrinate posted an image of 25 paise and stated that the BJP is ‘scared’ of Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra.
"But fear is good. Only if they have put so much effort into finding a solution to the unemployment and price rise," the BJP leader wrote on Twitter.

It is to be noted that the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has reached Karnataka and achieved the 1,000-kilometre milestone on Saturday.
Rahul Gandhi, speaking on the occasion of the achievement, said that his family has a long history with Karnataka because Sonia Gandhi ran for Lok Sabha from Ballari in 1999 and won.
