President Droupadi Murmu had sanctioned the prosecution of Lalu Prasad Yadav in the land-for-jobs case in September last year.
The scam pertains to the alleged transfer of land at cheap rates to the RJD chief, his wife, and his sons and daughters for appointments in Group D jobs in the central railways. It dates back to the time when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Union Railway Minister between 2004-2009.
