Bihar Elections 2020: Bihar will go the last phase of voting on November 7 and addressing an election rally in Bihar's Darbhanga, BJP President JP Nadda made a controversial remark on Donald Trump who is on the brink of losing the US Elections 2020. Nadda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done what US President Donald Trump failed to do and "saved the country" from the novel coronavirus.

The BJP President praised the way centre handled the Covid 19 situation that has, so far, infected nearly 84 lakh and killed over 1.24 lakh people in the country, Nadda referred to the ongoing US presidential election and the multiple criticisms of Trump's handling of the Covid situation - an issue that has featured prominently in the campaign of his Democratic challenger, Joe Biden.
"The results of the US elections are being declared and the allegation against Donald Trump is that he could not handle COVID-19 properly. But Modiji saved the country and its 130 crore population by taking timely decisions," Nadda said.
The fierce contest between President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden is headed for a nail-biting finish after three arduous days of the counting of votes. While the final outcome is still pending, Biden is slowly but steadily emerging as the strong contender to trump the US President, having already won 264 of the required 270 electoral college votes. India, the second worst-hit nation by the Covid pandemic, is 11 lakh cases behind the United States.
