Bihar Polls: Tejashwi Yadav has been finalized as the Chief Minister face of the grand alliance on Saturday evening with his party the Rashtriya Janata Dal ending up with a lion’s share of the seats. A multi-party grand-alliance took its final form ahead of the upcoming crucial assembly polls in Bihar and the seat-sharing formula was finalized. In the alliance that comprises of RJD, Congress, CPI(ML), CPI and CPI(M), Yadav’s party got its quota of 144 seats of the 243 seat-strong assembly. Tejashwi said RJD will accommodate old alliance partner Vikashheel Insaan Party (VIP) and JMM its ally in adjoining Jharkhand from its quota. Here is a look at seat distribution of grand alliance:
- Congress: 70 seats
- RJD: 144 seats
