Bharat Jodo Yatra: 'Computer Baba' Joins Rahul Gandhi-Led Congress March In MP — WATCH

Namdev Das Tyagi, popularly known as 'Computer Baba' joined Rahul Gandhi on Bharat Jodo Yatra.

New Delhi: The 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi resumed on Saturday at 6 am from Mahudiya in Madhya Pradesh. Senior leader Kamal Nath and Namdev Das Tyagi, popularly known as 'Computer Baba' also joined the foot march.

In this video, Gandhi can be seen walking along with Kamal Nath and Namdev Das Tyagi.

Tyagi is an ascetic and environmentalist, who took charge as the chairman of 'Narmada, Kshipra and Mandakini River Trust' in 2019 in presence of the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh. Namdev Das Tyagi is also known for his plantation drives and raids on illegal mines. He was given the name 'Computer Baba'  because of his love for gadgets and because he carries a laptop almost everywhere.

According to the Congress party, the yatra took a halt at Amla village in the district around 10 am. Following the afternoon break, it will resume at 3.30 pm from Jain Mandir, Sillegalwn, and reach Mangeshpur Chowraha in Agar Malwa. The yatra participants will make an overnight stay at Lala Khedi village. The yatra is on its 87th day and second last day in the state before it enters Rajasthan.

Noted music composer of southern India T M Krishna will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday, party sources told PTI.

Meanwhile on Friday, while addressing a rally at Agar Malwa in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi criticised the BJP and the RSS, and said that they (BJP & RSS) say 'Jai Shri Ram' and not 'Jai Siya Ram', because they do not worship 'Sita'.

"Lord Rama's name is incomplete without Sita. They are one..that's why we say 'Jai Siyaram'. Lord Rama fought for Sita. We chant 'Jai Siya Ram' and respect women considering them as Sita," he was quoted as saying by ANI.

Madhya Pradesh schedule

As per the schedule announced by the Congress, the foot march will cover a distance of 380 kms in the Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh within 12 days before entering Rajasthan on December 4.

The march led by Gandhi entered Madhya Pradesh on November 23 from Bodarli village of Burhanpur district from neighbouring Maharashtra. It has so far passed through Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Indore, and Ujjain districts in the state and is currently moving through Agar Malwa, where it reached on Friday.
