Belur Math To Remain Open On Guru Purnima Day; Two Spiritual Sessions To Be Held Virtually

Devotees will be able to access the day's events through Belur Math's YouTube channel, in which a variety of spiritual programmes will premiere in two timed sessions.

Bengal's eminent godhouse, Belur Math, will remain open for devotees on Saturday, 24th July for the occasion of Guru Purnima. Devotees will be able to access the day's events through Belur Math's YouTube channel, in which a variety of spiritual programmes will premiere in two timed sessions.

Belur Math's special reopening is only for a day. Sunday onwards it will be closed again. Maintaining COVID-19 protocols and SoPs as directed by the State Government for restricting viral spread, Belur Math will be catering to its devotees through the virtual medium in two sessions.

The two sessions, one in the morning from 7:30AM to 11:00AM and one in the evening from 4:00PM to 5:30PM, will consist of a variety of programmes.

From spiritual discourses, to chant of Vedic mantras and stotras, all the programmes will premiere in Belur Math's YouTube channel in the given time slots. The virtual programmes will also encompass readings from the words of famous sage Sri Ramakrishna, his wife, Mother Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda and his brother disciples.
