New Delhi: Ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked his council of ministers to refrain from making unnecessary comments on the sensitive issue and asked them to maintain peace and harmony. A five-judge Bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, has concluded hearing in the case and a verdict is expected by November 17. The Supreme Court is expected to deliver the verdict before CJI Ranjan Gogoi retires on November 17. Modi, while chairing a meeting of his Council of Ministers, took stock of the situation prevailing in the country. Everyone, including the government, had the responsibility to maintain peace and harmony, while avoiding provocation, he said. He also emphasised that the verdict should not be seen through the prism of victory and defeat.
