'Ayodhya Is Done; No Space For Mandir-Masjid Conflict Now': Mohan Bhagwat

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has condemned the continuous exploitation of Hindu-Muslim issues for communal discord in India. He also stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence among communities.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has slammed the frequent raking up of Hindu-Muslim issues to foment communal discord in India. Without mentioning the cases filed in courts over temples purportedly being under mosques, Mohan Bhagwat said: "There should be a Ram Temple and it indeed happened. That is a site of devotion for Hindus... But raking up new issues every day for disdain and enmity should not be done. Some people think they can become leaders of Hindus by raking up such issues every day. This is not acceptable."

The Rashtriya Swayansevak Sangh sarsanghchalak was speaking on the topic 'India- The Vishwaguru' at the Hindu Seva Mahotsav in Pune, Maharashtra. He further said: "We should show the world that we can live in harmony... we can have a little experiment in our country... We have ideologies of different sects and communities in our country..."

Mohan Bhagwat On Minorities

Although Bhagwat did not explicitly mention the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, the RSS has expressed concern over the community’s situation, particularly after political changes in the neighbouring country.

Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said other countries sometimes offer India advice on addressing minority issues, but the world has failed to protect minorities. "We can see the situation minority communities face in other countries... The world needs India's culture [to protect minorities]. We should show the way," he said.  "This eternal culture, which promotes harmony, is key to addressing environmental and other global crises," Bhagwat said, adding that India's ancient traditions hold the potential to lead the world towards peace.

"Big announcements are being made about world peace. We (India ) are also being advised about world peace, but at the same time, wars are not stopping," he said.
