The ground floor of the three-storied Ram Mandir is in its final stages of construction and will be ready by Diwali.

The 'pran pratishtha' ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir will be held from January 15-24, 2024. Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, told ABP News that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the consecration ceremony on the last day of the event. "The Ram temple's doors will open for devotees after the pran pratishtha. Common devotees will be able to visit the temple from 25 January 2024," Mishra said.

The preparations for the grand opening are not limited to Ayodhya. Indian embassies across the globe are gearing up with various events, said sources. The ground floor of the three-storied temple is in its final stages and will be ready by Diwali.

The main door of the sanctum sanctorum will be covered with gold, there will be gold carvings on it as well. The 161 feet high spire of the temple will also be covered with gold. Apart from the temple premises, the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi pilgrimage region is spread across 70 acres.

Lord Ram will be worshipped in the child form known as Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The Prime Minister had earlier decided that he would visit Ayodhya only when the foundation of the temple was laid. He was true to his word and visited Ayodhya after 20 years only on August 5, 2021, when the foundation of the temple was laid.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath last week highlighted the significance of the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla, representing Lord Ram in his five-year-old form, which has been long awaited for over 500 years. He believed that this milestone would enhance Ayodhya's importance on a global level. Adityanath acknowledged the profound connection Ayodhya holds in the hearts of millions, stating that the construction of the temple symbolizes their unwavering devotion and faith.
