Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Owaisi asked, “Where is your 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” adding, he “will not speak a word."
During the recently-concluded special session of the Parliament, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri made offensive remarks against Ali while another BJP MP, Nishikant Dubey claimed that the BSP MP was engaged in running commentary and made unsavoury remarks during Bidhuri's speech.

'Growing Up, I Heard RSS Hurl Slurs Against My Father'
Sharing an anecdote, Owaisi said, "While growing up, members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh would come near my house whenever there would be any rally and shout, "Salahuddin Owaisi, qabristaan yaa Pakistan (graveyard or Pakistan)." "My uncle would then come out with a stick and they (RSS members) would then flee."
"I have heard it on my own, today my son hears this," he said, adding, "I thought this would end within my life but my chidlren are also hearing."
Owaisi On Voting Against Women's Reservation Bill
Owaisi's party was the lone opposition voice against the women's reservation bill that got a nod from both the Houses of Parliament in the special session. Owaisi and his colleague Imtiyaz Jaleel voted against the bill demanding sub-quota for women and Other Backward Class women. "BJP leaders keep saying that two of our MPs voted against Women's Reservation Bill. 450 MPs voted for and only 2 voted against the bill. I said if there will be reservation for women then Muslim and obc women should also get it."
"When everyone said 450 MPs were against me, I told the entire country that Congress and BJP are together, Samajwadi (Party) and Congress are also together. I am fighting against PM Modi alone and you are all together," he added.

Challenges Rahul Gandhi To Contest From Hyderabad
During his highly-charged speech, Owaisi challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Hyderabad instead of Wayanad. "I am challenging your leader (Rahul Gandhi) to contest elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad."
"You keep giving big statements, come to the ground and fight against me. People from Congress will say a lot of things, but I am ready...Babri Masjid and Secretariat's mosque were demolished under the Congress regime."
