Andhra Pradesh: Actor and director attempt to rape female actor in moving vehicle
On the pretext of going for a shoot, Telugu film director and actor attempted to rape a female actor in her own vehicle on Tuesday. The duo later blackmailed her against informing the police and media.
New Delhi: A case of a female Telugu actor being assaulted by director and co-actor has surfaced up after she filed a police complaint on Tuesday.
Telugu film director Chalapathi and actor Srujan have been accused by the actress of assaulting her and attempting to rape her, on their way to Bheemavaram for a shoot.
In her statement to media persons, the victim told that on the pretext of going for a film shoot, the actor and the director attempted to rape her in her car. She briefed that the actor and director persuaded her to go to the location in her car instead of a train and started misbehaving with her. On protesting she was assaulted and was thrown to the backseat of the car, but in this course of action they smashed her vehicle against a lorry.

The actress had shared her location with her friends the same night, who came to her rescue.
She informed that the actor and the director apologised to her and asked her not to talk about it. They indirectly blackmailed her by saying that she won't ever get a film , if she tried to inform the media and police about the incident.

The complaint was filed in Patamata police station in Vijaywada and the police registered a case against the duo. The director was taken into custody after the complaint.
