‘Anarchist Kejriwal’: Tejasvi Surya Blames AAP Convener For Khalistan Flags Found At Himachal Assembly

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur condemned the incident following reports of Khalistani flags found hanging at the Himachal Pradesh Assembly.

New Delhi: Lok Sabha MP Tejasvi Surya on Sunday blamed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the Khalistani flags that were found hanging outside the main gate and boundary wall of Himachal Pradesh Assembly in Dharamshala.

Calling the Delhi CM “anarchist Kejriwal”, Surya said that what happened was “not a coincidence.”

“Not a coincidence that Anarchist Kejriwal and separatist forces are trying to enter Himachal Pradesh together. Himachal must identify and isolate such forces of destruction. We don't want incitement and violence in the State. Punjab's social fabric is already suffering,” tweeted Bengaluru South Lok Sabha MP.

Surya is not the only one to raise this allegation against Kejriwal. Earlier in the day, former Aam Aadmi Party member Kumar Vishwas launched a veiled attack on Kejriwal saying that the nation must remember his warning adding that he had cautioned about the same during the Punjab Assembly elections.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur condemned the incident following reports of Khalistani flags found hanging at the Himachal Pradesh Assembly. Taking to Twitter, the CM called it a “cowardly incident” and added that strict action will be taken against culprits.

“Himachal is a cordial state and peace should prevail here. The culprits involved in the Dharamsala incident will be caught soon wherever they are. The cowardice of those people will not last long. Certainly strict action will be taken against the perpetrators of this incident,” tweeted Thakur.

Dharamshala Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shilpi Beakta  said that the matter is being investigated and added that the incident was a “wake-up call” to work with more alertness.

“We are inquiring about the matter and a case will be registered under relevant sections of the Himachal Pradesh Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1985. This is like a wake-up call for us to work with more alertness,” ANI quoted Beakta as saying.

Kangra Superintendent of Police on his part said that it might have been put up late at night or early Sunday morning.

"We have removed the Khalistani flags from the Vidhan Sabha gate. It could be an act of some tourists from Punjab. We are going to register a case today," he told ANI.
