The uncle and driver of absconding Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh have surrendered before the Punjab police amid the ongoing operation to catch the separatists leader.
According to inputs from ABP Sanjha, Amritpal's uncle Harjeet Singh and driver Harpreet Singh surrendered before the police near a gurdwara near Shahkot in Punjab. They had absconded together with Amritpal in Mercedes and the police are negotiating with Amritpal's uncle for his surrender.
The police have also recovered .32 bore pistol and 1 lakh rupees from Amritpal's uncle Harjeet Singh. As per ABP Sanjha, his uncle is in talks with a DIG-level officer for the negotiations.

- Satinder Singh, the Superintendent Of Police, Rural Amritsar, said that seven persons were arrested on Saturday and a separate FIR under Arms Act was registered against Amritpal Singh and them. Amritpal is the main accused in the FIR. Six 12-bore weapons have been recovered from them and all weapons are illegal, he added.
- Four aides of absconding Sikh radical preacher Amritpal Singh were moved to Assam's Dibrugarh district on Sunday, news agency PTI reported.
- Vehicle used by chief Amritpal Singh to escape was also seized by police in Jalandhar. SSP Jalandhar Rural, Swarndeep Singh told ANI, "One car used in their (Amritpal Singh's) convoy seized, and one Kirpan and a .315 bore weapon with 57 live cartridges were recovered from it. The car was abandoned after use."
- Police arrested Daljeet Singh Kalsi alias Sarabjeet Singh Kalsi, an alleged advisor and financer of 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh from Gurugram, news agency PTI reported citing a CCTV video.

Amritpal Singh’s father Tarsem Singh on Sunday claimed that the 'Waris Punjab De' chief has already been arrested by the Punjab Police and that the police were "lying" that he was absconding. "We are sure that he has been arrested. We want the police to present him before the court to be able to take legal recourse," Amritpal's father alleged in an interview with ABP Sanjha.

Punjab government has extended the suspension on all mobile internet services, all SMS services (except banking and mobile recharge), and all dongle services provided on mobile networks, except voice calls, in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab till March 20 (12:00 hours) in the interest of public safety, reported ANI citing Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab.
On Saturday, Punjab Police launched a high-level operation to chase Amritpal Singh while he was reportedly on his way to Shri Muktsar Sahib. Six of his aides were arrested while Singh managed to flee. Police cordoned off Amritpal's cavalcade in Mehatpur in a bid to arrest him. However, Amritpal switched his vehicle at the spot where his cavalcade was intercepted and managed to dodge the police.

The man who had harboured Tajinder Singh Gill aka Baba Gorkha, a close associate of Amritpal Singh, has been arrested, said Khanna Police. The interrogation of the latest suspect, Balwant Singh, is underway, but no direct connection between Amritpal Singh and Balwant Singh has been found yet, say police.
Patiala Woman Arrested For Giving Shelter To Radical Preacher, Aides
A woman from Patiala was arrested for allegedly giving shelter to Amritpal Singh and his aides, said the Punjab Police officials on Sunday.
As per a senior police official, Amritpal and his aide Papalpreet Singh had allegedly stayed at the residence of Balbir Kaur in Patiala's Hargobind Nagar, for five to six hours before they moved to Shahabad in Haryana's Kurukshetra district, on March 19.

Alert Sounded In Uttarakhand Over Amritpal Singh Entering State Through Haryana
An alert has been sounded in Uttarakhand over the possibility of absconding pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh entering the State, informed Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) V Murugesan on Saturday morning. Murugesan added that he had received inputs from the Punjab Police that the Khalistan supporter who fled from Punjab, may enter Uttarakhand from Haryana.
