Amit Shah reaches J&K on 'martyrdom anniversary' of party founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee

New Delhi: BJP President Amit Shah reached Jammu on Saturday, where he is set to hold a rally on the occasion of death anniversary of party founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. This is Shah’s first visit to the state after withdrawing support from PDP, which led to fall of their government in the state and implementation of Governor Rule in the state; therefore, his public address will be significant as he is expected to touch on evolving political situation in the state.
Shah is likely to speak on the issues related to terrorism, stone-pelting and ceasefire violation issues in the state.
In a statement, party's national media head Anil Baluni said that Shah will be on a day-long trip to the city mark the "historic martyrdom anniversary" of its founder president Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Shah will also hold meetings with digital media and social media volunteers, and participate in other organisational events, he said. BJP withdrew its support to PDP government, after expressing several drawbacks of the government stating that Mufti party was not bold enough towards taking decisions on issues stone-pelters.
