'Habit Of Creating Controversy': Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi For Questioning PM Modi's Caste

In response to Congress raising questions about PM Modi's caste, Amit Shah said that the grand old party has a habit of twisting facts and creating controversies.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for questioning the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah said that the Congress has a habit of twisting facts and creating controversies. Speaking at the ET Now-Global Business summit, Shah questioned the grand old party about what it had done for OBC communities.

"The Congress has a habit of twisting facts and create a controversy around it. If they are creating controversy around it, I want to ask them what they did for the communities who fall under the OBC category," Amit Shah further said.
Shah added it is PM Modi who gave constitutional recognition to OBC communities, formed a commission for OBCs, reservations in central government jobs for OBCs was implemented," Amit Shah said.

This comes two days after Rahul Gandhi claimed that PM Modi is not an OBC by birth during the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'. "Narendra Modi is not OBC by birth, he has been made OBC by the BJP government of Gujarat. He can never do justice to the rights and share of the backward people" the Congress MP had claimed, as quoted by ANI.

Rahul Gandhi Has A Policy To Lie Publicly: Amit Shah

Speaking during the summit, the Home Minister trained his guns at Gandhi and said that he has a policy of lying publicly and lying again and again. He further stated that the Prime Minister said that he is an OBC, and the OBC is a bloc and not a caste.

"Rahul Gandhi has a policy, lie publicly and lie again and again. As far as PM Narendra Modi's caste goes, I doubt the Congress knows the difference between bloc and caste. PM Modi said he is an OBC, OBC is a bloc, not a caste. Maybe Rahul Gandhi's teachers did not tell him this. This is extremely sad that questions on the Prime Minister's caste are being asked," Shah said.
