Amit Shah Launches First Hindi MBBS Books In Bhopal, Says Engineering Studies To Also Be Made Available In Hindi
Speaking at the launch event, Amit Shah called it a very important day for the education sector of India and said that this day will be written in golden letters in history.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a day-long visit to Madhya Pradesh launched India’s first Hindi version of MBBS course books in Bhopal on Sunday. The course books are launched under the Madhya Pradesh government’s project to impart medical education in Hindi medium.
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, was also present during the launch event. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to start the MBBS course in Hindi language, stated a report by news agency ANI. Initially, three subjects have been selected to be studied in Hindi which includes anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.
Speaking at the launch event, Amit Shah called it a very important day for the education sector of India and said that this day will be written in golden letters in history.
“Today is a very important day for the education sector of India. Whenever history will be written in the coming days, this day will be written in golden letters”, ANI quoted Shah as saying during the launch event.
He said that soon engineering studies will also be made available in Hindi and the work of translating the engineering books has already been started.
“Today medical education is starting in Hindi. In some time engineering studies will also start in Hindi. The work of translation of engineering books into eight languages has started across the country. In no time all the students of the country will start technical and medical studies in their mother tongue,” the Union Home Minister said.
“BJP's Shivraj Singh Chouhan govt, by starting medical education in Hindi for the first time in the country, has fulfilled PM Modi's wish,” Shah further added.
Amit Shah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building and expansion at Gwalior's Vijayaraje Scindia Airport. He will later participate in a programme at Mela Ground. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will also be present at the event.
