Uttar Pradesh: The debate over IPS officer’s ‘Yadav surname’ tweet has escalated, after former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav joined the row. Akhilesh on Saturday said that “Only police officers with ‘special’ castes are being transferred or suspended”. Akhilesh’s party has already hinted that they would make this a political issue. Akhilesh mocks UP CM’s cleanliness drive: Akhilesh while taking a snipe at CM Adityanath’s cleanliness drive which was initiated keeping in mind PM Modi’s Swachh bharat mission, where he had asked all the police officers to do cleaning in and around police stations every Friday; said “I didn’t know UP police officers are so good at cleaning, if I knew I would have made them do a lot of cleaning too”. Akhilesh didn’t relent on being asked about purification of CM house: On being asked if Akhilesh had anything to say about Yogi purifying the whole house using cow urine he said, “I have no issues with that”. Akhilesh thereafter added that “CM said he is an-year-ahead of me in age, I would say he is lagging behind when it comes to work”.  Akhilesh also hit out at CM’s anti-rome squad and said that the “youth is being troubled”.
