After Rahul, Congress' official Twitter account hacked, obscene messages posted

New Delhi: In a second shocking and embarrassing incident, the main party of Opposition Indian National Congress’ official Twitter handle @INCIndia was hacked on Thursday morning, and a string of humiliating and vulgar tweets were shared from the account. This comes right after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's official Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday night and some expletives-laden tweets were posted. courtesy: official Twitter handle INC courtesy: official Twitter handle INC Rahul Gandhi on Thursday morning responded to the hackers in a very peaceful manner by tweeting, "To every one of you haters out there. I love all of you. You're beautiful. Your hatred just doesn't let you see it yet" Minutes after Rahul's Tweet, the official Twitter account was also hacked. Confirming the development, his office said efforts were being made to rectify the problem. Delhi Police has initiated a probe into the hacking of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account and has written to the management of the social media site seeking necessary details. "We have written to Twitter ti provide us log details such as the IP address of the hackers. We have started investigating the matter," a senior police official said. Congress' chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had filed a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing of the Police around 1 AM , an official said. After filing a complaint, Surjewala in a statement said, "This exposes cyber security network in India, its weaknesses. Would just say Sabko sanmati de bhagwaan (may god give good sense to everyone)" Image courtesy: ANI Image courtesy: ANI Gandhi's account was hacked around 8.45 PM and some messages with profanities were put out, but these were deleted soon thereafter. The name of the verified twitter handle "@OfficeOfRG" was also changed.
