After MP, Rajasthan & Punjab, Is Congress Now Facing Turmoil In Chhattisgarh? Know Details

In Chhattisgarh, the tussle has started within Congress. MLA Brihaspati Singh of Congress has accused Health Minister T.S. Singhdev of killing him.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh is a state where Congress occupies 70 out of 90 assembly seats. Chattisgarh is the only state in the country where Congress is the strongest. No news like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab was coming from Chhattisgarh so far. Now tussle has started within the Congress in Chhattisgarh.

MLA Brihaspati Singh of Congress has accused Health Minister TS Singh Deo of attempting to kill him. After which the political mercury of the entire state has gone up. The MLA alleges that ever since he has praised Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and has denied the CM for two and a half years, he has been on Singh Deo's target.

Congress MLA Brihaspati Singh alleged that his car was attacked on Saturday night. He alleged that the attack was carried out by Health Minister TS Singh Deo. It happened on Singh Deo's instructions and the attackers are his relatives. After which MLA Brahaspati Singh lodged an FIR with the police station in Ambikapur. The accused were caught and taken into custody.

The matter had started calming down after the accused were arrested after an FIR in Ambikapur. But as soon as Brihaspati Singh reached Raipur, the entire story changed.

Shortly after, 18 MLAs gathered at Brihaspati Singh's bungalow. There were also MLAs from the Ambikapur division among the MLAs who gathered. Ambikapur is under Health Minister TS Singh Deo's area. Brihaspati Singh held a press conference after the two-hour conversation between the MLAs.

In this press conference, the MLA made statements that no one expected. The MLA alleged that Health Minister TS Singh Deo can get him and other 4-5 MLAs killed to get the chair. They consider themselves to be kings. Earlier, our ancestors used to be tied up and beaten. But today they will not be able to do all this. We all have become aware. Such ministers who are doing such a conspiracy should be removed from the cabinet. While making the statement the MLA, had the support of 18 other MLAs. From here, the matter was completely like a front opened by 18 MLAs against the health minister. All the MLAs conducted a photo session and left for the CM house during the legislature party meeting.

There was a meeting of the legislature party at the residence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. State in-charge PL Punia was also present. P.L. Punia was sitting in the middle of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister TS Singh Deo. After some time, Brihaspati Singh and Health Minister TS Singh Deo's picture surfaced. The health minister stepped out and said the MLA has spoken in a spirit under pressure. I won't speak much on the party forum's matter. Health Minister TS Singh Deo said no comment on the Chief Minister's formula for two and a half years.

In Chhattisgarh, the formula to remain chief minister for two-and-a-half years has been discussed ever since the Congress government was formed. On June 17, 2021, Bhupesh Baghel has also completed two and a half years. Since then, the discussion of changing the leadership in the state has started. However, the Congress high command never spoke openly on this. Congress state in-charge Pl Punia has certainly said many times that there is no formula for two-and-a-half years. In such a situation, many questions point to the developments in Chhattisgarh similar to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab.

The first question is, whether there is an open revolt against the Health Minister? Second, is there no two-and-a-half-year formula left in the state? Third, will the Health Minister remain silent like this even after so much humiliation or can a big decision be taken from his side as well? Fourth, All eyes are on what will be the reaction of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on this whole matter. Overall, Chhattisgarh is now buzzing with revolts that people are now discussing how to handle.
