'Why Misleading Public?': Rajnath Singh At ABP Shikhar Sammelan On Congress's Frozen Bank Accounts Claim

ABP Shikhar Sammelan 2024: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commented on the grand old party's claims that their bank accounts have been frozen by the centre government.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday was questioned about the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent accusations against the BJP-led government regarding their accounts being frozen. Commenting on the same, Rajnath Singh stated that the accusations should be made on the basis of facts. He also stated that if Congress thinks that something is wrong then they should approach the court.

"Aarop jo bhi lagane chahiye tathyon ke aadhaar par lagane chahiye. Dekhiye hota hai kabhi kabhi kisi ke upar jhoothe aarop lag jate hai par usko aarop-mukt hone ke liye bhout kuchh karna padta hai. Relief nahi milta toh adalat jana padta hai. Ye sab darwaze khule huye hai," [Accusations should be made on the basis of facts. Sometimes, people are accused wrongfully. But then, they need to prove themselves to be true. If necessary they have to go to court to get justice. All these doors are open.], the defence minister stated.

"Agar Congress ko lagta hai ki kuchh galat horha hai toh adalat ka darwaza kyu nahi  khatkhatate hai. Kyu bar bar janta kyu gumrah kar rhe hai ki BJP aisa kar rahi hai sarkar aisa kar rahi hai pratadit kar rahi hai. [If congress thinks that if we are doing wrong, then why don't they appeal to court. Why are they misleading public while stating that BJP did this, BJP did that.], Rajnath Singh stated.

"Janta rajneetik drishti se bhout jagruk hogyi hai unko ab gumrah nahi kia ja skta" [The public has become very politically aware and the Congress cannot mislead anyone now], Rajnath Singh added.

Rahul Gandhi Lashed Out At PM Modi For 'Criminal Action' On Congress

"The idea that India is the world's largest democracy is a lie. A complete lie. 20% of India votes for us and we are not able to pay Rs 2 for anything. It has been orchestrated to cripple us in the elections. Even if our bank accounts are unfrozen today, a huge amount of debt damage has been done to Indian democracy," Rahul Gandhi stated while lashing out at PM Modi for taking "criminal action" against Congress.

Gandhi further stated: "As the biggest opposition party, we are unable to take any action - we can't book advertisements or send our leaders anywhere. This is an assault on democracy."

The Congress leader also stated that all their bank accounts were frozen, because of which they were unable to carry out campaign work. " We cannot support our workers, we cannot support our candidates. This has been done two months before the election campaign. One notice comes from the 90s, another from 6-7 years ago. Quantum amount Rs 14 Lakhs and punishment - our entire financial identity," Gandhi stated.
