6 terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag; gun-battle underway

The security forces have cordoned off the area and trying to find out if there are more terrorists hiding.

New Delhi: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Sekipora area of Bijbehara in Anantnag district on Friday morning. The operation left 6 terrorists dead as they were gunned down by the security forces during a fierce gunbattle. The security forces have also recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from the spot. As per sources, all nabbed terrorists are believed to be from Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit. The security forces have cordoned off the area and trying to find out if there are more terrorists hiding. More details on the same are awaited.
