2 Foreign Passengers Offloaded After They 'Misbehave' With Woman Cabin Crew On Go First Flight

A Go First spokesperson said that the matter was reported to the captain and the accused passengers were off-loaded.

In yet another case of in-flight misconduct incident, two foreign nationals were offloaded from a Mumbai-bound Go First flight from Goa after they allegedly misbehaved with a woman cabin crew member.

A spokesperson of the airline on Saturday said that the matter was also reported to the aviation safety regulator DGCA. The incident took place on Friday before take-off.

“Two foreign nationals were offloaded after they abused the crew. In fact, they were teasing the crew, passing comments and remarks on her. They were seated on the emergency seats and a security briefing was on at that time. The co-passengers also took objection (to their behaviour),” the Go First spokesperson said.

The matter was reported to the captain and they were off-loaded, he mentioned, adding that they were handed over to security officials for further action.

“We have been informed. They were offloaded and handed over to the security,” PTI cited a senior DGCA official.

The incident comes at a time when a mid-air urinating incident on the international flight of Tata Group-run private carrier Air India late last year.

Mumbai-based businessman Shankar Mishra allegedly urinated on a fellow woman passenger on November 26 on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi. The carrier has been facing flak over its handling of the incident

Shankar Mishra In Judicial Custody

A Delhi court on Saturday sent Shankar Mishra to judicial custody for 14 days. According to the court, no police custody was required for further investigation, news agency PTI reported.

Mishra was apprehended late Friday night in Bengaluru by Delhi police and taken back to the national capital.

News agency ANI reported quoting some senior officers familiar with the incident that Mishra is continuously changing his statement and misleading the investigation officer.

"We will record the statements of the victim woman, crew members, and co-passengers to corroborate his statement and get more details into the case," the senior officer was quoted as saying by ANI.

He went on to say that the woman passenger was sitting behind the accused when he turned around and urinated on her, and the passenger next to her protested and shouted at him, as stated in the report.
