Smriti Irani Expresses Happiness As Rahul Gandhi Sends 'Puja Samagri' For Amethi Temples

On this occasion of the great festival of Chaitra Navratri, Rahul Gandhi has sent Puja Samagri for the Goddess temples of Amethi.

New Delhi: Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani on Wednesday expressed happiness over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sending 'Puja Samagri' to Amethi temples.

"If this is true then I am happy that Rahul ji is now impressed by the services done by me and is serving the Mother Goddess in a similar way. Imitation is the best way of complimenting an effort," the senior BJP leader said reacting to an IANS tweet that apprised of the development.

Rahul Gandhi was an MP from Amethi for 15 years, but in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, he lost the election to Smriti Irani. Presently, the Congress leader is the MP from Wayanad, Kerala. 

In Amethi, two seats were won by the SP and two by the BJP, in all the four seats the Congress had to face a heavy defeat.

On this occasion of the great festival of Chaitra Navratri, Rahul Gandhi has sent Puja Samagri for the Goddess temples of Amethi, whose work is being carried out by Amethi Congress District President Pradeep Singhal.

Congress's district media in-charge Anil Singh said that on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have sent worship materials to the famous goddess temples of the district for the happiness and prosperity of Amethi.

The Puja Samagri was distributed by District President Pradeep Singhal and other office bearers of the District Congress Committee, Maa Kalika Bhawani Dham Sangrampur, Maa Devi Patan Dham Amethi, Maa Durga Bhawani Dham Bhawan Shahpur Gauriganj, Budhan Mata Dham Gauriganj and Samsara Dham in the presence of the Mahant/priest of the temple in Shahgarh.
