Honda Launches X-Blade With ABS At Rs 87,776 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Honda has launched the X-Blade ABS at a price of Rs 87,776 (ex-showroom Delhi). The ABS unit on the X-Blade is a single-channel version acting on the front wheel. The ABS variant of the X-Blade is priced at a premium of around Rs 8,000 over the standard variant. With the launch of the ABS variant, Honda has readied the X-Blade for the upcoming safety regulations. Set to come into effect from April 2019, these regulations mandate that every bike above 125cc needs to have ABS as standard.

The Honda X-Blade is a sporty commuter from the Japanese bikemaker that fills the gap between the CB Unicorn 150 and the CB Hornet 160R. The stylish bike is powered by a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, BSIV-compliant engine that produces 14.12PS of power and 13.9Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox while braking duties are carried out by a 276mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. The inclusion of an ABS option should now endow the X-Blade with better braking performance. The Honda X-Blade competes with the Hero Xtreme Sports, the Yamaha SZ-RR and the TVS Apache RTR 160
