Honda Amaze Ace edition launched with prices starting at Rs 7.89 lakh
The new limited edition pack lends the Amaze a sportier appearance.
The Honda Amaze Ace Edition has just been launched with prices ranging between Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). It is based on the top-spec VX variants with both petrol and diesel engine options. The Ace Edition cosmetic package aims to lend a sportier look to the Amaze sub-4m sedan while being offered in three colour options - white, silver and red.
Honda has priced the Ace Edition at a premium of Rs 13,000 over the standard VX variants. Here’s the full price list (all prices, ex-showroom India)
It comes with black alloy wheels, a black lip spoiler and black door visors to make the Amaze look more sporty. There are ‘Ace Edition’ emblems on the bootlid and on the front seatbacks while other accessories include front room lamp and black door edge garnish. Apart from these cosmetics, the Amaze Ace Edition’s equipment list remains unchanged from the VX variants it is based on. That includes features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking camera, automatic climate control, and plenty more.
The Honda Amaze comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine makes 90PS and 110Nm and the 1.5-litre diesel unit produces 100PS and 200Nm of torque. Both come with a choice between a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. However, the Amaze loses 20PS and 40Nm of performance in the diesel-automatic variant.
Honda’s sub-4m sedan competes against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor, Hyundai Xcent and Volkswagen Ameo. The Amaze currently has a starting price of Rs 5.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
