Kanpur Derailment Attempt: Giriraj Singh Alleges 'Conspiracy By Specific Community', Hits Out At Congress' Silence
The remarks came after a train's loco pilot spotted a small gas cylinder on the tracks near Prempur railway station and stopped the train, preventing a possible disaster.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday alleged conspiracy behind the derailment attempt of a train the Delhi-Howrah route near Kanpur, by saying there is a "preparation for civil war" in progress and labelled it a terrorist plot involving a specific community.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, the BJP MP from Begusarai strongly condemned those responsible for such incidents and conspiracies.
"Iron is being found in some places, and gas cylinders in others. Somewhere, the bolts on the tracks are being tampered with. Thanks to the railway's efficiency, a major incident has been avoided, but this is part of a conspiracy by a specific community," he said.
Giriraj Singh Criticises Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge
Alleging the involvement of individuals from a particular community, and criticising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress national President Mallikarjun Kharge for remaining silent, he said, "But Rahul Gandhi won't speak on this. Mallikarjun Kharge remains silent for vote bank politics. They indulge in appeasement. This incident warns the people that preparations for civil war are underway, with the first attack targeted at trains."

The remarks followed after a train's loco pilot spotted a small gas cylinder on the tracks near Prempur railway station and stopped the train, preventing a possible disaster. The freight train was en route from Kanpur to Prayagraj via the loop line.
Soon after the incident, police and railway officials launched an investigation. Previously, 20 coaches of the Sabarmati Express derailed near the Panki industrial area.
Singh also lashed out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his comments abroad, questioning why he speaks negatively about India, Prime Minister Modi, and the Sikh community. He referenced the 1984 riots, asking how the community could forget such events.
He also accused Gandhi of aligning with wrongdoers and hinted at a political alliance with the National Conference, claiming that Congress came up with the promise to reinstate Article 370 if they come to power.
