BJP's Giriraj Singh Advises Begusarai Residents To ‘Beat Officials With Sticks If They Don't Listen To Your Grievances'

While addressing a program at the Agricultural Institute of Khudwampur in Begusarai on Saturday, the BJP leader alleged that he frequently receives complaints from citizens that the officials often appear insensitive to the concerns of the people and pay little heed to their complaints.

Union Minister and MP from Begusarai, Giriraj Singh has once again made controversial statements advising the people of Begusarai to 'beat the officials with Bamboo sticks if they do not listen to their grievances.

While addressing a programme at the Agricultural Institute of Khudwampur in Begusarai on Saturday, the BJP leader alleged that he frequently receives complaints from citizens that the officials often appear insensitive to the concerns of the people and pay little heed to their complaints.

"I say to them, why do you come to me for such small things. MPs, MLAs, village mukhiyas, DMs, SDMs, BDOs… these are all under obligation to serve the people. If they do not listen to you, pick up a bamboo stick with both hands and give a crushing blow on their head," Singh said.

Singh, who holds fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy farming portfolios, went on to say that "if even that does not work, then Giriraj shall throw his weight behind you."

Earlier this week, Singh attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that ‘Sahabzaade’ and his confidantes have become mentally ill due to repeated defeat in the elections across the country.
