Apple Event 2020: What To Expect In Mega 'Time Flies' Event?

The much-awaited mega annual event 'Time Flies' hosted by tech giant Apple is about to take place in few hours from now. As reported earlier, the Apple users and fans will be able to see the live streaming of the show online 10:30 pm IST (10 am PDT). You can watch the live stream of the event through Apple’s website, the official YouTube channel, and through Apple TV app. The event will begin at 10 am PT which is around 10:30 pm as per the Indian Standard Time. In the past few years, it has been observed that Apple has announced new models of iPhones and high-profile devices in the second week of September. However, this time the outbreak of pandemic has hampered the plans. What All To Expect At Apple 'Time Flies' Event 2020?
Virtual Event
According to the information out on the web-page , the event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater, a building within the Apple Park campus. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be held virtually and live-streamed online on Apple Events web page at 10:30 pm IST (10 am PDT). People can also watch the event on YouTube.
In line with the WWDC 2020 event, this event, too, is expected to show a pre-recorded video of Steve Jobs Theater and Apple Park.
Apple Watch Series 6
One of the major launches expected today is the Apple Watch Series 6. Going by this year's theme 'Time Flies', the tech company in its virtual event is expected to unveil the new generations of the Apple Watch. According to leaks the new Apple Watch is expected to have features such as sleep tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, better battery life, improved waterproofing, added electrocardiogram feature and much more.
Apple Watch SE
The firm has kept the lips sealed on what's coming at today's event, but the rumour mill has suggested that Apple may unveil the new Apple Watch hardware. Apple is rumoured to launch a cheaper Apple Watch model along with the Watch Series 6. It is expected to be a low-end watch replacing the Watch Series 3 currently available at $199 but little information is available about the Watch Series 3 right now. Details on the release schedule of watchOS 7 are also being expected.
iPad Air 4
Another major announcement expected at today's event is around the new iPad Air, the successor to the iPad Air 3 that debuted in March last year. According to major leaks, Apple’s upcoming iPad Air 4 may have look similar to iPad Pro. iPad Air 4 may have an edge-to-edge display without a home button. The iPad is said to sport Touch ID built on the side button instead of FaceID. Some rumours also suggest that the 2021 iPhone series will feature TouchID instead of FaceID for security.
iPhone Models: Apple is unlikely to unveil any new smartphones in today's event. According to several reports, the firm is expected to hold another major event in October sometime to launch the iPhone 12.
Announcements Around iOS 14
There is an announcement likely on iOS 14, watchOS 7, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14. The tech giant announced iOS 14, watchOS 7, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14 at WWDC 2020 event in June and in the upcoming event it is expected to reveal details of features. It has recently released iOS 14 beta 8 to developers and public beta users and is may release the stable version of the software soon.
