Former SAD MLA Amarpal Singh Bony Ajnala, 2 Others Join BJP

The former SAD MLA from Punjab’s Ajnala constituency had submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the party, including other responsibilities, to party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

New Delhi: Former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Amarpal Singh Bony Ajnala joined Bharatiya Janata Party today in the presence of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at the party office in the national capital, reported news agency ANI.

Punjab BJP President Ashwini Sharma was also present during the event, reported ABP Sanjha. 

The former SAD MLA from Punjab’s Ajnala constituency had submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the party, including other responsibilities, to party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

In his resignation, he stated that there was nothing good in the Shiromani Akali Dal under Badal’s leadership because those who stabbed Shiromani Akali Dal during the assembly elections are being rewarded with constituency in-charge and other positions.

“For the good of Punjab, Punjabi, Punjabiyat and Sikh Panth, the orders given by the acting Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh Ji of Shri Akal Takht Sahib Ji and the recommendations made by the investigation committee headed by Jathedar Iqbal Singh Jhunda are also being completely ignored. , because of which I am sending my resignation from the primary membership of the party,” he said further.
