Coronavirus LIVE, 30th April, Highlights: While the country was awaiting 1st May to begin the new phase of vaccination, Mumbai shut its vaccination drive for three days citing lack of adequate doses. Vaccination will not take place in Mumbai starting Friday, the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation has said. The Centre has set May 1 as the date for beginning vaccination of 18 to 45-year-olds as younger people are seen to be particularly susceptible to the virus in its second wave.

Andhra Pradesh will not be commencing the vaccination drive for the 18-44 age group from 1st May. The vaccination drive for those above 45 years of age will continue: Principal Health Secretary, Andhra Pradesh said.
